I don’t think anyone is ever truly prepared for dealing with the loss of their home due to a catastrophic event like a fire or flood.
Helpless. Homeless. Overwhelmed. Lost. Miserable.
These are just a few of the words that could be used to describe how I felt the night my home had a fire. Luckily for me, the folks at ServiceMaster showed up at my home the next day and immediately started guiding me through the process. There was much angst and many unknowns in my mind, but step by step they helped me put my home and my life back together. Rebecca was at my doorstep the very next morning and introduced me to the ServiceMaster team and explained how to get the process started. Then she handed me over to Patricia, Karen, Arturo and Angel who teamed up to handle the dirty work. Arturo and Angel did a magnificent job of getting the damaged and contaminated debris removed from my home and made preparations for the repairs. And boy did that look like a lot of work!! Whenever I had a question, I would call Patricia and she would pick up the phone and more often than not she had an answer for me. If she didn’t have it right then and there, she got back to me with one ASAP. Karen made sure my house was thoroughly cleaned and my household items were removed, cleaned, and restored. They were both very friendly, professional and worked closely with my insurance company to ensure that any items that were damaged beyond repair would be taken care of. They took so much of the burden off my shoulders and I honestly don’t know how I would have done it without them. Then, after what seemed like an eternity, once my home repairs were complete and it was time to move back home, I got the friendliest and hardest working movers in the business. A big thanks to Mike, Mike and Chris for handling all of the heavy lifting and getting all my furniture back in the house where I needed it. And no damaged drywall in the process!! Great team of professionals that did a fantastic job and I can’t thank them enough for the help they gave me during one of the darkest times of my life. To the folks at ServiceMaster, thank you so very, very much!
